Sedgefield, Market Rasen get go-ahead

This afternoon’s meeting at Sedgefield goes ahead after a mild night.

The track had been forecast an overnight frost but temperatures remained above freezing.

Clerk of the course Gemma Charrington said: “We only got down to plus two and we didn’t freeze so the track is perfectly raceable and we have cancelled the inspection.”

Meanwhile, this afternoon’s meeting at Market Rasen goes ahead after a forecast frost failed to materialise.

Clerk of the course Nick Patton said: “We didn’t get down to freezing last night. It was plus three, so we are perfectly raceable and have no problems at all.”
