Sandown calls inspection

Officials at Sandown Park will hold a precautionary inspection on Monday to assess prospects for their St Stephen's Day card, which features the £200,000 (€292,000) Stan James King George VI Chase.

Clerk of the course Andrew Cooper said: “With a forecast of temperatures in the territory of minus three and minus four for Christmas night we will hold a precautionary inspection at 7.30 on Monday morning.”
