No inspection planned at Wetherby

Officials at Wetherby have no plans to hold an inspection ahead of their principal jumps meeting of the year next week.

The West Yorkshire track races on Monday and Tuesday, with the skybet.com Rowland Meyrick Chase and Castleford Chase the highlights.

Chief executive James Sanderson said: “We are not planning any inspections.

“The forecast implies at this stage that we won’t freeze. It might drop to zero but that wouldn’t faze us at all.

“Obviously if the forecast changes between now and Boxing Day we’ll review it, but at the moment we are pretty relaxed.”
