Island appeal tomorrow

Trainer Gary Moore and his son Jamie will appear before the disciplinary panel of the Jockey Club tomorrow to appeal over the punishments they received at Doncaster on December 9.

The local stewards ruled the Moore junior-ridden Lewis Island, who finished third beaten two and a quarter lengths in the intercasino.co.uk Handicap Chase, had not been ridden to obtain the best possible placing.
