Gidam takes Doncaster opener

Gidam Gidam benefited from a positive ride from Tom Siddall to take the Top Cat Juvenile Novices’ Hurdle at Doncaster.

Siddall kicked John Mackie’s charge on at the third flight and after seeing off a series of challengers in the straight, the 7-1 shot drew clear on the run-in to beat Daldini by three and a half lengths.
