Norton patient on comeback date
Franny Norton is determined to make a full recovery before returning to the saddle after being injured in a seven-horse pile-up at Wolverhampton earlier this month.
He spent several days in hospital after the incident and is now recuperating at home in Liverpool
“I had a collapsed lung, I’ve a broken collarbone and a cracked rib but I’m slowly on the mend – I’m getting there,” he told At The Races.
“I won’t be in any rush. I’ll just make sure I’m fully fit. In about 10 days I’m going to rehab to start my training there and hopefully I can get back on the mend.”
Norton, riding Beauchamp Trump, was brought down after Skye’s Folly broke a leg causing the melee on the home turn in the two-mile handicap at the Midlands track on November 7.
