Carl Llewellyn is hoping a clean round of jumping can see Redemption go close in Saturday’s Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Newbury.

Nigel Twiston-Davies’ 10-year-old hasn’t won since January 2004 but was travelling well towards the head affairs when falling two fences from home in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham two weeks ago.
