Wiltshire trainer Alan King has warned punters not to rush to back Kandjar d’Allier for the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup after the gelding’s pleasing comeback effort behind Our Vic at Cheltenham.

Kandjar d’Allier was doing his best work at the finish to claim third place, four lengths behind the Paddy Power Gold Cup winner but King is mindful of the fact that the Hennessy is a week on Saturday.
