Leader De La Cour, trained by Thierry Doumen and ridden by Christophe Pieux, won the Prix Best Mate at Auteuil’s new winter jumps festival.

The race was renamed in the triple Cheltenham Gold Cup winner’s honour following his untimely death on Tuesday.
