Fallon looks back on Ace run

Kieren Fallon believes Ace would have given Breeders’ Cup Turf winner Shirocco “a run for his money” if he had enjoyed luck in running.

Kieren Fallon believes Ace would have given Breeders’ Cup Turf winner Shirocco “a run for his money” if he had enjoyed luck in running.

Aidan O’Brien’s four-year-old, wearing a visor for the first time, came from off the pace but failed by a length and three-quarters to catch Andre Fabre’s charge, who benefited from a positive ride from Christophe Soumillon

“It was just unfortunate, I’ve gone on the turn and I wanted to go a bit sooner but I was just locked in for a stride and maybe if I’d got out I would have given the winner a run for his money,” Fallon told At The Races.

“Obviously the visor helped Ace. He’s a consistent horse – he’s been running big races in Group Ones all season.”
