Hunter Street, Peter Chapple-Hyam’s recent winner of the Group Three Cornwallis Stakes, has been sold to continue his racing career in America.

The Compton Place colt failed to make his reserve at the sales last week but a deal has been struck privately which ends his time in England.

The trainer told www.peterchapplehyam.com: “Hunter Street has been sold to America in a private sale. Gordian Troeller did the deal but I don’t know yet which trainer he is set to continue his career with.

“Of course, I’m sad to see him go – he’s been a good servant – but it was always the plan that he would finish with us at the end of his two-year-old campaign. Racing is a business.

“He has done well for us and could go on any ground. The only below-par race he ran for us was at Deauville where he ripped two shoes off in a Listed contest.

“He got the reward his consistency deserved when winning the Cornwallis Stakes for us. I hope he will continue to be successful over in America.”
