Starcraft’s owner Paul Makin is considering keeping his horse in the United States for a crack at the Cigar Mile at Aqueduct on November 26.

Having been supplemented for the Breeders’ Cup Classic for 800,000 the Luca Cumani-trained five-year-old finished a fair seventh in the 10-furlong contest on Saturday evening.

“We might run him in the Cigar Mile or could leave him here with Christophe Clement,” Makin told the Racing Post.

“I think he probably doesn’t stay a mile and a quarter, that plus the dirt issue. We’ll have to regroup now.”
