Rooster Booster is fit and well after thrilling trainer Philip Hobbs with victory at Huntingdon and is likely to reappear in the Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham next month.

The 2003 Champion Hurdle winner received a thunderous reception at the Cambridgeshire circuit after a fluent five-length succss in the Play Blackjack At williamhillcasino.com Hurdle.

The grey put in an exemplary round of jumping to land a race he last took in 2002, when it was run at its usual home of Kempton, and is on course for Cheltenham’s race, which he also took the same year.

“He’s very good this morning, he has come out of the race fine and I think we’ll look at the handicap hurdle at Cheltenham on November 13,” said Hobbs.

“I was absolutely delighted – he did it nicely. It was a promising start to the season and I am very pleased with him.”
