Matron attracts nine entries
Dual Guineas winner Attraction will face eight rivals in the Group One Coolmore Fusaichi Pegasus Matron Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday.
Mark Johnston’s filly, who finished second behind Soviet Song in last year’s renewal, is chasing her first win of the campaign after disappointing in Hong Kong and finishing fourth in the Hungerford Stakes.
She will be joined in the mile race by Celebration Mile winner Chic – the mount of Christophe Soumillon – and Coronation Stakes runner-up Karen’s Caper.
Aidan O’Brien has decalred 1000 Guineas winner Virginia Waters, while Dermot Weld is double-handed with Miss Mambo and Utterly Heaven.
Frances Crowley’s Irish 1000 Guineaswinner Saoire, Paul Nolan’s Sky High Flyer and the Mick Channon-trained Majestic Desert complete the field.
