Warrsan enjoys German repeat

Warrsan has lifted the Group One Grosser Volkswagen Preis von Baden for the second successive year at Baden-Baden in Germany.

Kerrin McEvoy made his move on Clive Brittain’s seven-year-old (6-1) at top of the home straight and the partnership kept on nicely to beat the German filly Gonbarda (12-1).

Ascot Gold Cup winner Westerner, who was stepping back to 12 furlongs for the first time this season, finished third.
