Ted Durcan’s appeal against a two-day suspension for careless riding at York on August 16 has been dismissed by the Jockey Club.

The disciplinary panel viewed video recordings of Durcan’s ride on third-placed New Art in the Irwin Mitchell Solicitors Stakes and upheld the decision made by the Knavesmire stewards.

Durcan will remain sidelined on Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28.
