More Rainbows wins Guinness Galway Hurdle

Cloone River, the 2/1 favourite in this afternoon's feature hurdle race at Galway, had a disastrous fall going over the fourth last fence, leaving the field open for Niall Madden to triumph aboard the number nine More Rainbows, at a chance of 33/1.

Another Paul Nolan-trained horse, Accordian Etoile joined Cloone River at the rear of the field over the first few fences. The number twelve, Portant Fella led for much of the race.

Tiger Cry was second over the line in today’s big race, followed by the number ten Callow Lake and number five Calorando.
