Proclamation tops Jersey field
Jeremy Noseda’s potentially high-class Proclamation heads 30 entries for Wednesday’s Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot at York.
The colt was disappointing when running too free in the Dante Stakes at the course last month but was very impressive when beating Tucker by three lengths when stepped back in trip to a mile at Goodwood last time.
Others of interest in the Group Two race over seven furlongs are Camacho, representing the meeting’s leading trainer Henry Cecil, Sir Michael Stoute’s Home Affairs and Clive Brittain’s 2000 Guineas third Kandidate.
Godolphin have entered Oude, while there are three possible Irish raiders - Slip Dance, Luas Line and Cherokee as well as a representative from Spain in Nepro.
