Michael Stoute is set to be without a runner in next Saturday’s Vodafone Derby after ruling out both Kalamkar and Mountain High from the blue riband.

The Newmarket handler has trained the winners of the last two Derbys – Kris Kin in 2003 and North Light last year, but has been deprived of his chance for a third consecutive success.
