Cartmel passes inspection

Cartmel have passed an 8am inspection ahead of this afternoon’s meeting.

The track had the 8am inspection due to heavy overnight rain.

But the going is officially described as heavy.

The spokesman added: “The stewards have passed the track fit for racing.

“The rain has eased off a bit now and hopefully we won’t get too much more.”

The track has had six millimetres of rain and it is still raining at present, forcing officials to take a look.
