Bullish Luck wins Champion Mile
Bullish Luck broke his stablemate Silent Witness’s remarkable winning streak to take the Champions Mile at Sha Tin in the final strides.
Silent Witness, who had won his last 17 races, was quickly away and made nearly all of the running, while the fellow Tony-Cruz-trained Bullish Luck was well behind under Gerald Mosse.
However, Silent Witness was trying his furthest distance ever and having struck for home in the straight, he began to tire and was worn down close to the line by his rival.
British raider Attraction missed the break and finished a tame 11th.
