Murtagh back at York
Johnny Murtagh will be back in action at York tomorrow after giving up his only ride at Yarmouth today.
The Irish jockey was thrown from the James Fanshawe-trained Buster Hyvonen when his mount reared in the stalls before the closing 10-furlong maiden.
“He banged the top of his knee on the side of the stalls. It was badly bruised, but he’s had plenty of physio and a good walk,” said his agent Ray Cochrane.
“He just had the one ride today, and James told him not to ride Dreadnought for him in the maiden at Yarmouth and to have the day off.
“He’ll be back for his three rides at York tomorrow and be fine for Motivator in the Dante on Thursday, touch wood.”
