Footstepsinthesands grabbed the UltimatePoker.com 2000 Guineas at Newmarket today to cement the new partnership of Kieren Fallon and Aidan O’Brien.

Leading over a furlong out, the 13-2 shot bounded up the hill to take the colts’ Classic over the Rowley Mile from two 100-1 shots, Rebel Rebel and Kandidate.

O’Brien’s second string Oratorio was fourth.
