Betfred money for Whitenzo

Whitenzo was well backed with both Coral and William Hill yesterday for the Betfred Gold Cup at Sandown on Saturday.

Victory in the big end-of-season handicap would all but clinch the trainers’ championship for Paul Nicholls.

Coral trimmed Whitenzo to 10-1 from 12-1 after the gelding was the subject of decent support.

Whitenzo has gone through a purple patch, having won his last three starts including two at Sandown, with 7lb claiming amateur Jamie Snowden on board.

Hills have clipped Nicholls’ horse in a point to 10-1 from 11-1 for Saturday’s race.
