Emirates backs Breeders' Cup races
Emirates Airline will sponsor the Breeders’ Cup Distaff and the Filly & Mare Turf at Belmont Park on October 29 in a multi-year deal.
It is the first time a company has taken over sponsorship of two races at the prestigious meeting.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, Emirates’ executive vice-president of commercial operations, said: “Our ground-breaking sponsorship of two Breeders’ Cup races and divisions is a perfect fit for our ongoing sponsorship portfolio of international horse racing.
“Adding the Breeders’ Cup to the list shows our commitment to supporting the very best racing around the world.”
Dubai-based Emirates also sponsors Arsenal FC’s new stadium, the Dubai World Cup, the Melbourne Cup and Team New Zealand in the America’s Cup yacht race in a wide-ranging sports portfolio.
