Waters flows into Guineas picture
Virginia Waters ran out an easy winner of the Dimitrova 1,000 Guineas Trial Stakes for the Ballydoyle team at Leopardstown today.
Coming with a sweeping run on the outside, the Aidan O’Brien-trained filly powered to a smooth three-length victory from Sweet Treat in the Group Three contest over seven furlongs.
The 5-2 shot was completing a 13-1 double for O’Brien and jockey Kieren Fallon, who had taken the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden with newcomer Emerald Cat.
Virginia Waters earned a 12-1 quote from VC Bet for the UltimatePoker.com 1000 Guineas.
