Cheltenham Festival disappointment Our Vic could be seen on the racecourse again this term after being pulled-up in the Daily Telegraph Chase earlier this month.

The Martin Pipe-trained seven-year-old may head to Sandown for a crack at the Betfred Gold Cup following his recent effort, when he was pulled-up on the run-in despite being sent off the 7-4 market leader.

“Our Vic pulled a couple of muscles at Cheltenham, which obviously wouldn’t have helped, but it was still a bit disappointing that he emptied as quickly as he did,” owner David Johnson told the Racing Post.

“I’d like to see him run again this season and, even if he isn’t ready for Aintree, there’s still the possibility that he’ll go to the Scottish National meeting, or for the Betfred Gold Cup at Sandown in April.”
