Irish showjumper Cian O’Connor lost his Olympic gold medal tonight after the sports governing body ruling that his horse had tested positive for banned substances.

Irish showjumper Cian O’Connor lost his Olympic gold medal tonight after the sports governing body ruling that his horse had tested positive for banned substances.

O’Connor won Ireland’s only medal in the 2004 summer Olympics on Waterford Crystal, which was later found to have the drugs Flupenzine, and Xuclophentixol in its urine.
