Satin Kiss shortened for 1000 Guineas

Satin Kiss was cut to 12-1 from 16-1 for the UltimatePoker.com 1000 Guineas by Ladbrokes after the Godolphin filly landed the UAE Oaks at Nad Al Sheba yesterday.

Frankie Dettori’s mount, already the winner of the UAE 1000 Guineas, was the hot favourite and led all the way to complete a Classic double in the nine-furlong dirt contest.

The daughter of Seeking The Gold is now the winner of four of her six starts, but the mile would look as far as she wants to go on this evidence.

Having performed his trademark flying dismount, Dettori said: “She broke smartly so I was soon able to take command, and she loves the dirt.

“She shows great speed at home but has started to relax better, and I was happy that she settled early on – that was the key.

“When I asked her to quicken she found a few lengths quickly and has done it well.”
