At The Races supports racehorse rehabilitation
At The Races has announced that it will be supporting the Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) charity this year.
The charity aims to raise funds from the racing industry to help re-home ex-racehorses and to help them find second careers.
Matthew Imi, chief executive of At The Races, said: “Throughout their racing careers thoroughbred racehorses give all of us an enormous amount of pleasure but it is equally incumbent on us to take responsibility for them when they leave the sport.
“Whilst the majority of owners and trainers take a great deal of time and care over finding suitable new homes for their horses, there are still a lot of people within the racing industry who are simply not aware that there’s life for a horse after racing.
“We look forward to working with all at RoR and their affiliated racehorse rehabilitation centres to promote this very important message.”
