Sunderlands increase Sandown backing
Bookmakers Sunderlands have increased their sponsorship portfolio on Imperial Cup Day at Sandown Park on March 12, and will now support the whole card.
Four of the races are covered live on Channel 4 and the £60,000 (€87,000) Sunderlands Imperial Cup will be the feature race on a day that boasts total prize money of £174,000 (€251,000).
Sunderlands have also put up a £60,000 (€87,000) bonus if the horse that lands the Imperial Cup goes on to win any race at this year’s Cheltenham Festival.
