Former champion jockey Kieren Fallon has cut short his spell in America.

The six-times title holder had been expected to ride at Gulfstream Park, Florida until mid-March.

But his agent Terry Miller told the Racing Post: “He doesn’t like the fast ground – Kieren thinks the turf course is too hard. It is a fact that track records are broken virtually every day.

“It’s a shame – he’s such a great rider. I wish he would have stayed longer. I thought he was going to stay until mid-March.”
