Georges Girl retired to paddocks
Georges Girl, second in the Irish Champion Hurdle last year, has been retired.
The seven-year-old mare has shown little in three starts this season, most recently finishing a distant last behind Macs Joy in the same race at Leopardstown last month.
Owner Glenn Martin has decided to send her to the paddocks.
Trainer Francis Flood said: “The horse is being retired to stud and as far as I know she is going to be put to Milan.”
Georges Girl also won the Red Mills Trial Hurdle last season and was third in the Pierse Hurdle.
