Doubt over Ayr

Ayr will hold a precautionary inspection at 6.45am tomorrow ahead of their afternoon meeting.

The going at the track is currently heavy and officials are concerned by the prospect of more rain tonight.

“There’s been one and three-quarter inches of rain since we raced last week,” said Ayr’s Ian Ferguson.

“A further 10 millimetres of rain is forecast for tonight into tomorrow morning and if that is correct, the meeting would be in jeopardy.”
