Irish star Moscow Flyer will miss the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown today after scoping badly.

The 10-year-old, who has a respiratory tract infection, would have been odds-on to win the Grade One contest over two miles and a furlong for the third successive year.

“He didn’t scope clean this morning. He’ll have medication for a week then he’ll be fine,” said trainer Jessica Harrington.

“His next race will now be at Punchestown on January 30.”

The gelding’s last outing was at Sandown earlier this month, where he beat Azertyuiop and Well Chief in a thrilling renewal of the Tingle Creek Trophy.
