Harchibald set for Christmas outing
Harchibald, ante-post favourite for the Smurfit Champion Hurdle, looks set to reappear at Kempton over the Christmas period.
Trainer Noel Meade had been considering a tilt at the Bewleys Hotels December Festival Hurdle at Leopardstown on December 29, but is instead planning another trip to Britain for his star performer.
The five-year-old was an easy winner of the âFighting Fifthâ Hurdle at Newcastle last month and Meade now plans to run him in the Stan James Hurdle on St Stephens' Day.
âItâs looking more and more likely weâll go to England, as heâll probably get better ground, but weâll make no decision until after he works next Tuesday,â the trainer told the Racing Post.
