Murphy to appeal suspension

Timmy Murphy has confirmed he will appeal against the seven-day suspension he picked up at Plumpton on Monday.

The in-form rider was found guilty of improper riding by the local stewards who banned him from St Stephen's Day until New Year’s Day inclusive.
