Bleu misses Peterborough date
Edredon Bleu will miss this afternoon’s totesport Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon due to the testing ground.
The 12-year-old gelding was due to bid for a fifth success in the race after winning the Grade Two contest between 1998 and 2001.
However, Edredon Bleu’s trainer Henrietta Knight does not want to risk him on the ground which is currently described as good to soft, soft in places.
Miss Knight told The Morning Line: “The groundsman told me that the area between the ditch and the corner will be very deep and gluey.
“His owner Jim Lewis doesn’t want to subject him to that hardship.”
