Media Puzzle third in battle down under

Dermot Weld-trained Media Puzzle and Godolphin’s Fantastic Love had to settle for minor honours in the Shannons Sandown Classic in Melbourne today.

The Group Two prize – run on heavy ground – went to Stephen Theodore’s Count Ricardo with the Kerrin McEvoy-ridden Fantastic Love in second and Media Puzzle, winner of the 2002 Melbourne Cup, immediately behind him under Damien Oliver.
