Royal assignment for Ouija Board
Dual Classic winner and Breeders’ Cup heroine Ouija Board looks set to make her four-year-old debut at York next year.
The Knavesmire is to stage Royal Ascot as the Berkshire venue undergoes extensive redevelopment work, and trainer Ed Dunlop has earmarked the showpiece fixture for what will be the eagerly-awaited return of his brilliant filly.
He told the Daily Mail: “Ouija Board will have a long-deserved rest. She won’t be out until next June when the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at the Royal fixture is a possible comeback target.”
The daughter of Cape Cross, successful in both the English and Irish Oaks, rounded off a dream campaign with victory in the Filly & Mare Turf at Lone Star Park, Texas last weekend.
