Hot favourite Divine Proportions (8-11) maintained her unbeaten record with a stylish success in the Prix Marcel Boussac Royal Barriere Deauville.

Jimmy Fortune set out to make the one-mile contest a test of stamina from the outset on John Gosden’s Titian Time and was still in front entering the straight.

But the Pascal Bary-trained Divine Proportions had tracked her throughout and quickened nicely when asked for her effort by Christophe Lemaire.

Titian Time hung on for second, with Fraloga in third and Sir Mark Prescott’s Intrigued finishing as well as anything to grab fourth.

The winner was made 5-1 favourite for next season’s 1000 Guineas by Ladbrokes.

Fortune said of Titian Time: ``She's quietly surprised me today. I didn't think she was quite that good, but she's certainly stepped up from her maiden win.

“We went a nice, even gallop and that’s her true form. She’s on an upward curve and who know’s how much more there is to come. The winner is something special.”
