Ascot signs new deal with At The Races
Ascot today announced they have signed a long-term deal with satellite channel At The Races.
The partnership, expected to run beyond a seven-year period, will give ATR the right to broadcast all of the track’s meetings – including those transferred to other venues during its redevelopment period.
Ascot’s decision to sign up to ATR follows a successful initial run that has seen the channel cover the track’s Flat meetings this summer.
“We said just before the Royal meeting that we felt it was in the best interests of both Ascot and the wider racing community to work with At The Races to try to bring everyone together under one banner,” said Ascot chief executive, Douglas Erskine-Crum.
“Our reasons for supporting At The Races remain as they were in June. We are fundamentally of the opinion that a non-subscription channel best serves the wider long-term interests of racing.
“As part of Sky’s Family Package, an ever-growing Sky audience will be exposed to cross-promotional marketing of At The Races.”
