Jag set for Japan
Fayr Jag, winner of the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot, will jet out to Japan at the weekend to contest the Sprinters Stakes at Nakayama next month.
Tim Easterby’s five-year-old is due to contest the Group One race, which is worth €696,900 to the winner, on October 3.
The trainer told the Racing Post: “He’ll love the fast ground and is bouncing at home. It’s a valuable prize and we go there hoping for a good run.”
Fayr Jag is set to be joined by Chris Wall’s Ashdown Express in the six-furlong event.
