Lilas lands Moulin in Fabre one-two
Grey Lilas put up a game performance to beat off all challengers and claim the Group One Netjets Prix du Moulin at Longchamp this afternoon.
Eric Legrix made his move on the Andre Fabre-trained filly turning into the straight and she found an extra gear to accelerate into the lead.
Grey Lilas had to work hard, though, to repel the late bids of Fabre’s other runner Diamond Green and Irish raider Antonius Pius.
The latter pair needed a photo to separate them for the minor placings, but Diamond Green got the nod to make it a 1-2 for the stable.
