Heroine unplaced at Deauville

The Michael Jarvis-trained Celtic Heroine finished unplaced in the Listed Prix Lieurey at Deauville this afternoon.

Kevin Darley’s mount was well in contention behind the leaders until the closing stages, when she dropped back to finish sixth in the mile race.

The winner was the German challenger Mamela, who coped well with the very soft ground.
