Cloone River wins Galway Hurdle

7-2 favourite Cloone River has won the Guinness Galway Hurdle after a surge saw him first past the finishing post.

Gemini Guest at 12-1 was second after a few tastes of leading the pack. Mirpour was third and Lost in the Rain made up the first four.

Cloone River was second in last year's Galway Hurdle.

A record amount was laid on the race by punters with the Tote.
