Cumani set to unveil Colori
Luca Cumani is set to unveil another Italian import at Glorious Goodwood next week when Le Vie Dei Colori makes his British debut in the Cantor Odds Sussex Stakes.
Winner of the Italian 2000 Guineas and the Group One Premio Vittorio di Capua last season, Le Vie Dei Colori was transferred to Newmarket at the beginning of June after disappointing in the Premio Presidente della Repubblica.
The horse did a piece of work yesterday and pleased his trainer and big-race jockey Darryll Holland.
Cumani said: “He is fit and ready for the race. Darryll was very pleased and will ride him next Wednesday.
“The track should suit the horse, but it won’t be an easy task because we will face all the best milers.
"But I hope he has improved a lot.”
Cumani also confirmed that Salselon is an intended runner in the Prix Jacques Le Marois over a mile at Deauville next month after his poor run at Ascot last time out.
“Last time was disappointing, but there’s only one reason. The race was too slow and he pulled a lot,” he said.
