Cumani makes good call

Trainer Luca Cumani was 270 miles away in Newmarket - but his telephone call helped Loves Travelling record a brave success in the toteplacepot Cumberland Plate at Carlisle today.

Cumani was watching the meeting on television and he came to the conclusion that the best ground was towards the stands rail, so he contacted his young jockey Nicky Mackay and told him that was the place to bring Loves Travelling.
