Best appeal hearing tomorrow

Amateur rider James Best will have his appeal against a riding ban heard by the disciplinary panel of the Jockey Club tomorrow.

The Newbury stewards found Best guilty o careless riding on the winner Sangiovese in the Bollinger Champagne Challenge Series Handicap (Amateur Riders) on June 10 and gave him a seven-day suspension.

Best was found to have moved his mount across sharply at the start, hampering three of his rivals.

The hearing is due to start at 10am.
