Marvellous Menhoubah wins in Milan

Menhoubah repaid connections’ faith with a famous victory in the Oaks d’Italia in Milan.

Darryll Holland brought the Clive Brittain-trained filly with a perfectly-timed run to land the €251,127 first prize in the Group One contest.

“She is a really good filly, not too far from Group One fillies in England,” said Brittain.

“Today she showed what she has got. She certainly is very strong and she stays, the two most important qualities in a filly.

“After this result, we have to consider running her in the Epsom Oaks. I will speak with the owner (Saeed Manana), who couldn’t be here today as he is currently travelling from Dubai to London.”
